That would be the cosmic Patridge force with the power to impale entire
stars with its cosmic giant pear tree energy constructs.

I thought Cosmic Partridge Force was a version of the FF in which Johnny
Storm was played by David Cassidy...

These are the powers of Galactus which apparently are currently
wandering the universe looking for an owner? (Or alternatively which
found the pocket universe that he stepped into in six seconds, while
Big G chuckles at the gullibility of the Richards family? We don't
know.)

Y'know, I'm really glad that on X4 I decided to wait for the trade
paperback Smile<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

as long as Kitty becomes infested with the Phoenix force, it all makes
sense.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Well, it would certainly be the most limited power base for such a large
cast ever. Then again, with half the team having the powers of Sue and
Johnny Storm, they'd be virtually unstoppable.

It would've been a fun single-issue story (with the right story and art).

Then again, that's true with ANY idea...

Except Hawkeye dying via "flaming quiver" (say that outloud, just to
yourself... think about how sad and ridiculous that sounds).

I just realized it also sounds like the name of a bar. The kind of place
where "Police Academy" movies would beat a horse with a dead stick... Wink

Already happened, when Chris Claremont wrote the FF.

And yes, his whole series was stunningly stupid.
