| I see this phrase thrown around a lot, and just have to ask...Was this
something that Professor X ever actually *said*, or is it just one of
those things people *think* they heard, but really didn't (like "Play
it again, Sam" in Casablanca)?

It's been used many times over the years...I'm not sure when it first
happened (it may have even started out like "Play it again, Sam" but,
if it did, it made the jump to comics long ago)...and it's even
filtered into X-Men adaptations like the various cartoons...and not
always from Xavier...the one that always stands out in my mind was
back during Warren Ellis' Excalibur when Pete Wisdom was temporarily
in a wheel chair...he put on a bald cap and stuck a cigarette in his
mouth and let her rip (it was hilarious)...I'm not even sure that the
latest Astonishing X-Men is even the first time Cyclops has said it. >> Stay informed about: "To me, my X-Men!" |

It was first used when Prof. X wants to announce that the dinner is ready.
Notice that it's "his" X-Men. >> Stay informed about: "To me, my X-Men!" |
