At lunch, I went to a library sale that started Saturday and picked up, for
$1.00, a stated first edition (k-x) of Zane Grey's "The Call of the Canyon"
(Harper, 1924). The orange front board and spine are sunned compared to the
back board. The top and bottom of the spine are worn so that not all of the
word "HARPER" is clear to read. Corners are bumped and scuffed. There is a
name and address on the FFEP. But the spine and hinges are intact (a feature
not common in many that I see for sale), the boards are not damaged, and the
pages and prints are all intact and undamaged, save some mild discoloration of
the paper. There is no dust jacket. All in all, a good copy.
