Moscow chapter sets meetup date

The Kurt Vonnegut Meetup Moscow chapter will meet on Oct. 8, billed as
"the first meeting in Eastern Europe."

Subsequent meetings are set for the 2nd Friday of each month.

I consider this plan to be wildly optimistic.

Grand! Back to old ftp than', eh!?

As a matter of fact I am also old enough to know pine, elm, ftp, let
alone unix &linux commands and the alike, can you believe that? Not that
I ever feared B.gates running for... I should stop right here.

On the K.V. issue: our titles work great, so let's really get something
going! I'm excited. We (Alla and myself) visited Coffee-Bean and
Book-berry bookstore (today) -- the strangest thing is that this country
affects the commercial part of people's brain. In other words, they were
hardly impressed by both that fact that it is K.V. Jr.(!!!) Meetup Group
AND that it's the 1st K.V. Meetup in Eastern Europe, or one more thing --
international exposure, more clients, them things ypu know... DAAH!!! NOT
a problem -- we're geting excellent response from the local expatriate
community and I'd be quite happy to arrange Meetups at let's say Deli
France at Mayakovskaya metro, right by Starlight Diners... Venue is not a
problem, what we need is activities and the goals. BTW, if you have any
ideas &/ suggestions as far as the mission statement is concerned -- they
ARE certainly welcome!
