Do you think that Vonnegut would have still been able to tell the story in
Mother Night if Howard W. Campbell Jrs war crimes were something more physical
than Radio propaganda? If he was a double agent working in the camps would
vonnegut still have been willing or able to get us to have any empathy for the
character

No, I don't think he could have. But that would really be quite a
