I´m wondering what kind(if any) of music you like to listen too while
reading Feist books?

The albums I usually listen too are Nightwish's "Wishmaster", Hans Zimmer's
scores for "The Last Samurai" and "King Arthur" and Trevor Jones' score for
"The Last Of The Mohicans".
"Wishmaster" has been my default Midkemia CD since I read Magician. Whenever
I listen to it images from all the books I´ve read flow into my mind.
It´s best for the larger scale books though.

I just cue up all the sample MP3's from Todd Mastens site.
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.toddmasten.com/" target="_blank">http://www.toddmasten.com/</a>
He is the composure Sigil online games hired to score their new massive
multiplayer online fantasy game Vanguard. <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.vanguardsoh.com/" target="_blank">http://www.vanguardsoh.com/</a>

In fact, check out the Vanguard sites lore section. There are some pretty
good fantasy stories written there already with more coming all the time.
One of my dreams was that they would commission Ray to write a prequill
novel to go with their gameworld along the lines of how Sony is having RA
Salvatore write one for Everquest. But alas, that was before Ray hitched
his cart to another game company and Sigil decided to write lore internally.
Anyway, its probably for the best.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

The Wishmaster is nice listening to - but personally Im more into Symphony X
or other similar bands while reading. Not to mention Ayreon or Star One.

For that matter I think most neoclassical progmetal bands is excellent
background music.

It varies as new soundtracks come out, but while reading the Serpentwar
about a year ago it was the Lord Of The Rings scores, which worked very well
to these books.

(I might add that while the LOTR scores are great in the films also, they
don't fit the Tolkein books for me.)

I try to keep away from the LOTR scores when I read Feist. While some of the
greatest fantasy scores I own, they are too linked to the trilogy =)
Same goes for Conan The Barbarian.
