I just got home from the movie. It is very well made, very well acted. I
cried a bit at the beginning, and again at the end.

It reminded me how upset the ending of the book made me, poor Dave. What a
sad life this character had. The movie made his wife a bit more sympathetic
to me than the book did. Jimmy's wife came off as more of a Lady MacBeth.

It is long, it is dark, it is very good.

Shutter Island is being done by the director of A Perfect Storm. Already in
pre production.
