Narnia Movie

I saw "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" (based on the book by C.S.
Lewis) on Sunday. Spoilers below:

In this movie, 4 kids, named Lucy, Susan, Edmund, and Peter go through a
wardrobe into a land called "Narnia". It is ruled by the cruel White
Witch, whose spell has kept it in winter mode for 100 years. The kids,
along with the noble lion Aslan, must free Narnia from the White Witch.

The movie begins by showing a German bombing raid on London. As the
Germans attack, search lights in London swing back and forth to
iluminate the German planes. Why don't the Germans bomb the search
lights?

Lucy goes through first and meets a faun named Tumnus. He is naked on
the top half of his body. How can he stand the winter cold?

It has been winter for 100 years. How have the life forms of Narnia
survived? I would expect that the grass, flowers, and fruit would not
grow in the snow. This would cause the herbivores, bees, and birds to
starve, which would wipe out the animals that feed on herbivores, birds,
and bees. Granted, Narnia's animals seem to be as smart as Earth
humans, but I don't see how they could practice farming in all that
snow. The rivers and lakes are completely frozen, which would eliminate
the fresh water fish and any animals that prey on such fish.

When Aslan comes into Narnia and begins to break the White Witch's
spell, Father Christmas comes in and give Peter a sword, Susan a bow and
arrows, and Lucy a dagger and healing elixir. Later, Peter confronts
Fenris the Wolf with his sword. Meanwhile, Susan stands there with her
bow and arrows on her back. Why doesn't she get out her bow and fire an
arrow at the wolf?

Interesting note on the final battle against the White Witch: Peter's forces
dropped rocks on her army. I assume that he got the idea from the Germans
bombing London!
