News on JINX movie scripted Brian Michael Bendis

Charlize Theron is set to star in and produce a big-screen adaptation of the
graphic novel "Jinx," report the trades. The Oscar-winning actress will play
a bounty hunter who teams with an accused murderer to recover millions in
mob money. Comic-book god Brian Michael Bendis, who penned the original
story, will write the script.

Jinx: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charlize Theron is in
negotiations to star in Jinx, an adaptation of a Brian Michael Bendis comic
book that Circle of Confusion is producing for Universal Pictures. The
actress, who won an Oscar for her performance in Monster, also will produce
through her Denver & Delilah Films banner.

Jinx is about a bounty hunter who has to learn to trust a wanted criminal so
they can team up to find millions of dollars of abandoned mob money in order
to start a new life together.

Bendis, who spent 2 1/2 years writing and illustrating the comic, will adapt
his own work.

I didn't know Bendis drew as well as wrote. At first, I thought this was the
Jinx (connected with the X-Men), but the plot doesn't sound exactly like
*that* Jinx.

Looks like Bendis is going to be even busier. Good for him!
