I currently have for sale the following old nuclear-related texts. Postage is
$2.50 for the first book, and $1 for each additional item (Media Mail within
the US, at cost elsewhere). The books are:

Ellis, R. Hobart Jr. "Knowing the Atomic Nucleus" Lothrop, Lee & Shepard, 1973.
The 127 page hardbound book is in good condition. It is an ex-library copy with
the usual stamps and stickers. Internals are in nice clean condition. An
interesting look at the structure of the atom geared towards the general high
school student. Available for $3.

American Law Institute "Atomic Energy Licensing and Regulation" American Law
Institute, 1987. Bound study materials from the American Law Institute-American
Bar Association course of study on Atomic Energy Licensing. The 379 page
softbound book is in about very good condition. There is a previous owners name
on the front cover, and a few notes in the page margins, but otherwise nice.
Available for $3.

Electric Power Research Institute "Advanced Light Water Reactor, Utility
requirements Document, Volume 1, ALWR Policy and Summary of Top-Tier
Requirements" Electric Power Research Institute, 1990. The 61 page
magazine-sized softbound book is in very good condition, fresh and clean inside
and out. Includes an 11 page executive summary laid in. Available for $3.

Scientific American "Atomic Power" Simon and Schuster, 1955. The 180 page
softbound book is in about very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen
marks. An early look at the use of nuclear power for commercial energy
production, written by a variety of experts on the subject. Available for $3.

Gschneidner, Karl A. Jr. "Rare Earths, The Fraternal Fifteen" USAEC Division of
Technical Information, 1967. The 46 page softbound book is in very good
condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks. Published as part of the
"Understanding the Atom" series. Available for $3.

Romer, Alfred "The Restless Atom" Anchor Books, Doubleday & Co., 1960. The 198
page softbound book is in very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen
marks except for a previous owners name inside the front cover. A history of
the scientific progress in the early years of nuclear physics. Available for
$3.

National Cooperative for the Storage of Radioactive Waste "Project Gewahr 1985"
National Cooperative for the Storage of Radioactive Waste, 1985. The 75 page
softbound book is in very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks
except for a "received" date stamp on the front cover. Feasibility and safety
studies for final disposal of radioactive wastes in Switzerland. Available for
$3.

Hoffmann, Banesh "The Strange Story of the Quantum" Dover Publications, 1959.
Second edition. The 285 page softbound book is in very good condition, clean
with no page tears or pen marks. "An account for the general reader of the
growth of the ideas underlying our present atomic knowledge." Available for $4.

Barlett, Donald L.; Steele, James B. "Forevermore : Nuclear Waste in America"
New York, NY, U.S.A.: W. W. Norton & Company, Incorporated, 1985. ISBN:
0393019209 The 3852 page hardbound book is in very good condition. It is an
ex-library copy from a corporate library, with a card pouch inside the rear
cover, and the usual stamps and stickers. Otherwise in very nice condition.

Illusion of a Plutonium-Free Economy" University of New Mexico, 1978. The 216
page softbound book is in very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen

International Atomic Energy Agency "Radioactive Contamination of the Marine
Environment" International Atomic Energy Agency, 1973. The 786 page softbound
book is in about very good condition. This is an ex-library copy from a
corporate library, with a card pouch inside the rear cover, and the usual
stamps and stickers. Otherwise in very nice condition. Proceedings from an
international symposium held July 10-14, 1972. Available for $7.

Sugg, Redding S. Jr. "Nuclear Energy in the South" Lousiana State University
Press, 1957. The 151 page hardbound book is in very good condition, clean with
no page tears or pen marks except for a previous owners property stamp inside
the front cover. Dust jacket is in good+ condition. The book contains a
blueprint for the coming "atomic age" in the southern US states as nuclear
power production was beginning in the United States. Available for $6.

Pollard, Ernest; and William L. Davidson "Applied Nuclear Physics" John Wiley &
Sons, 1947. The 249 page hardbound book is in very good condition, fresh and
clean inside and out except for a previous owners name inside the front cover.
Available for $6.

Campbell, Milton H. (editor) "High Level Radioactive Waste Management (Advances
in Chemistry Ser., No. 153)" Washington, DC, U.S.A.: American Chemical Society,
1978 ISBN: 0841202702 Second printing. The 166 page hardbound book is in very

217 page hardbound book is in very good condition, clean with no page tears or
pen marks, and a strong binding. Dust jacket is in very good condition as well.
A nice overview of atomic energy. Available for $5.

Semat, Henry "Introduction to Atomic and Nuclear Physics" Rinehart & Company,
1958 Third edition. The 561 page hardbound book is in very good condition,
clean with no page tears or pen marks, and a strong binding. Available for $6.

Wilson, C. W.J. "World Nuclear Directory" Longman Publishing, 1985, ISBN:
0582900255. The 387 page hardbound book is in very good condition. This is an
ex-library copy from a corporate library, with a card pouch inside the rear
cover, and the usual property stamps and stickers. Otherwise in very nice
condition. A guide to organizations and research activities in atomic energy.

"Faul, Henry (editor) "Nuclear Geology" John Wiley & Sons, 1954. A symposium on
nuclear phenomena in the earth sciences. The 414 page hardbound book is in very
good condition. This is an ex-library copy from a corporate library, with a

Lumb, Ralph F. (Editor) "Management of Nuclear Materials" D. Van Nostrand,
1960. The 516 page hardbound book is in very good condition, clean with no page

cover. Dust jacket is in good+ condition, with a few pen marks on the front

Currie, L.M.; V.C. Hamister; H. G. MacPherson "The Production and Properties of
Graphite for Reactors" National Carbon Company, 1955. The 61 page hardbound
book is in very good+ condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks except
for a previous owners name stamp inside the front cover. A paper presented at
the U.N. International Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy,
Geneva, Switzerland, August 8-20, 1955. Available for $8.

Carpovich, Eugene A. "Russian-English Atomic Dictionary" Technology
Dictionaries Co., 1957. The 317 page hardbound book is in good condition, clean
with no page tears or pen marks except for a previous owners name inside the
front cover along with a surplus Library of Congress stamp. Brown cloth covers
have a small 1/2 inch tear at the top of the spine, otherwise nice. An early
technical text for translating Russian works on nuclear or atomic physics.

book is in fine condition, fresh and clean inside and out, in a very good dust
jacket. Available for $8.

Price, William J. "Nuclear Radiation Detection" McGraw-Hill, 1958. The 382 page
hardbound book is in good+ condition. It is an ex-library copy from a college
library, with a card pouch inside the rear cover, and a few stamps and
stickers. Otherwise in decent condition. Available for $8.

Stacey, Weston M. Jr. "Modal Approximations, Theory and an Application to
Reactor Physics" MIT Press, 1967. The 122 page hardbound book is in very good
condition, fresh and clean inside and out, in a very good dust jacket.
Published as MIT Research Monograph No. 41. Available for $8.

Stephenson, Richard "Introduction to Nuclear Engineering" McGraw-Hill, 1954.
The 387 page hardbound book is in about very good condition, clean with no page
tears or pen marks and a strong binding. Covers show a bit of wear from age,
but not bad at all. A nice early nuclear engineering text. Available for $8.

Fried, Sherman (editor) "Radioactive Waste in Geologic Storage (ACS Symposium
Ser., No. 100)" Washington, DC, U.S.A.: American Chemical Society, 1979, ISBN:
0841204985. The 344 page hardbound book is in very good condition. It is an

Engineering" Prentice-Hall, 1959. The massive 1,415 page hardbound book is in
about very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks except for a
gift inscription signed by the author inside the front cover. Blue cloth covers
show some wear from age, but not bad at all. Available for $10.

International Atomic Energy Agency "Isotope Techniques in Hydrology, Vol. I
(1957-1965), Bibliographical Series No. 32" International Atomic Energy Agency,

papers and publications related to the use of radioisotope instruments in

International Atomic Energy Agency "Radiochemical Methods of Analysis, Volumes
I and II" International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, 1965. The two softbound
volumes are each in about very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen
marks. A few pages in Volume II have wrinkled margins from where paperclips had
been placed at one time. Proceedings of a symposium on radiochemical methods of
analysis held by the IAEA on 19-23 October, 1964. Volume I is 432 pages while
Volume II is 522 pages. Available for $18.

International Atomic Energy Agency "Non-Destructive Testing in Nuclear
Technology, Volumes I and II" International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, 1965.
The two softbound volumes are each in about very good condition, clean with no
page tears or pen marks except for a previous owners name stamp inside the
front cover. Proceedings of a symposium on non-destructive testing in nuclear
technology held by the IAEA on 17-21 May, 1965. Volume I is 392 pages while
Volume II is 443 pages. This softbound version was a preview copy prepared
before the final hardbound issues were sold. Available for $18.
