Oryx and Crake

just finished this book and found it to be very 'vonnegutian' (?); even
jimmy's last letter begins with 'to whom it may concern', so i believe
it's not just coincidence but done at purpose. does anyone know more on
this? i found nothing in the interview at
http://www.randomhouse.com/features/atwood/interview.html
or in her essay, and in the 'reader's guide' there it's named among
'brave new world' and '1984', but no mention of vonnegut at all ??
