Can anyone recommend a good newsgroup for PC games? I just wanna ask
general questions and get some game recommendations.

Your newsreader software should allow you search the list of groups
supported by your news provider. Type "games" into the appropriate search
field.

Well believe it or not I did actually try that.
This brought back literally hundreds of newsgroups. I checked a few and they
didn't seem what I was after so I thought I would
just as for recommendations as the fastest way of getting to a good one.

Thanks for the 'type in games' suggestion though, I know you're doing your
best.

No- I wanted personal recommendations
as there are hundreds of newsgroups out there so just mindlessly doing a
google search wouldn't have been much good, smartarse.
