About Paycheck, primarily - read it online at:

Good article.. one thing that jumps out straight away:

"Dick died shortly before Blade Runner's release in 1982, and, despite
a cult readership, he spent most of his life in poverty. Yet now, more
than two decades later... movies based on more than a half-dozen other
stories and novels are in the works - among them "The King of the
Elves" at Disney, "The Short, Happy Life of the Brown Oxford" at
Miramax, and A Scanner Darkly at Warner Bros."

I knew about Scanner Darkly but thats been kicking around for ages and
looks like its stalled - from what I recollect, apparently it was
going to be animated.

Noticed this one though -Charlie Kaufman seems to have written a
screenplay for it (Adaptation & Being John Malkovic! Yay!)

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.moviepoopshoot.com/squib/10.html" target="_blank">http://www.moviepoopshoot.com/squib/10.html</a>

A review of said film script (plus some fairly amateurish reviewing of
Scanner darkly).

Sodebergh & Clooney at the helm with WB - after 'Solaris' will a big
studio let them indulge themselves again? (incidentally, I loved
Solaris.)

Bets on for it actually getting made anytime soon?... anyone?

I was unaware of the other two projects. Indeed I was unaware of this
'Paycheck' project!

Anyone have much information on them? IMDB turns up a blank for all of
them. Google etc does help but most of the articles sound like their
based on 2nd hand information and hearsay.

As for paycheck... Ben Affleck?

When-oh-when is anyone going to make a true adaptation of a Philip
Dick story without either completely altering the story or just
generally missing the point?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
