Well, they still think Pat has some kind of coronary problem, but they
are not quite sure what it is. Consequently, they will be running some
more tests. Tomorrow, she is due for a "stress test"to see how each
part of her heart is functioning. Hopefully, when they get the results,
they will be able to give some constructive suggestions for what should
be done about it. Meanwhile, she sits in the hospital, but at least she
has her own semiprivate room this time, with a potty & a shower, which
she is allowed to use. She is not hooked up to a bank of monitors, and
the very nice West Indian nurses in her unit happily agreed that they
run very well on chocolates. She is not feeling unwell, but they are
watching her sugar and her blood pressure avidly, to make sure she
doesn't take another dive on them.
For my part, I wish those of you who respond to these updates could
somehow not send me back a copy of what I sent you, attached to your
messages. I'm printing these things out for Pat to read, but it wastes
a lot of ink and paper to print out the whole update time and again. I
do not know how to detach one thing from the other myself, because I am
a barely literate computer user. I just know how to type and print and
download the mail. I don't know how to manipulate a document to exclude
unwanted data. If you could just not send the whole thing back at me,
that would be a great help. As it stands, the computer is telling me
the printer is low on ink, and I don't know how to remedy that
situation. It is a new printer, and I am not familiar with it.
I will be back at you tomorrow around midnight, to let you all know
how the stress test went.
