I wanted to let people in this group who may know/know of Peter Cousins
(ex-editor Paternoster Press, T & T Clark etc, and author of various
writings) that Peter died this afternoon, peacefully, after a short
illness. He was 75.
He will leave a huge gap in many people's lives and his role in the
growth of the Christian arts community in England has never been
adequately acknowledged. His knowledge of literature, church history,
hymnology and much more was encyclopaedic. More than that, he was a
wonderful combination of an irascible, often Rabelaisian individual who
refused to suffer fools gladly, and somebody who was one of the most
godly and kindly people I have ever known.
He leaves behind his wife, Pam, who is every bit as wonderful as he was
(though not at all Rabelaisian).

Best wishes,
David
