Jean and the Phoenix - ABout whether Jean was or wasn't the original Phoenix. The rational to bring her back the first time was the Phoenix was just a copy, right? I was wondering if anyone has suggested that the Phoenix pulled out Jean's astral form and made it

That wasn't what you asked. Since, reportedly, plans are under way to revive
Jean, I'd doubt that anyone else will become Phoenix.
There was a lot of talk, recently, about the X-Treme X-Men cover that had Kitty
with the Phoenix Effect. I wonder what that was all about.

Where was this posted? Believe me, I am in full support of bringing Jean
back, but I don't know why Marvel would do this. She is not wildly popular
or else she would have had a solo series or something within the past few
years. Her relationship with Cyclops is dead and has been for years. Emma is
a perfectly capable psi and to be honest a bit more interesting than Jean
thanks to Morrison. The "Phoenix" thing has really screwed Jean's character
up. Jean has been a huge bag of continuity problems from the moment they
revived her for X-Factor.
