I happened to come across the mention of Pillars of the Earth by Ken
Follett, and decided to check to see if my library had the book. My
library system Carnegie-Pittsburgh has a number of copies of the book
which I guess was first published in 1989. Any way all 100 copies or
so have been checked out, and there is a waiting list of a few
hundred. How come there is a sudden interest in this book, if it was
published almost twenty years ago? Is there some TV mini series or
something?
Thanks

His sort-of sequel - it is set 100 years later - World
Without End - came out a couple months ago.
