Free Writing Contest
London, Ontario, October 15, 2003 - The Business of Writing electronic
magazine announces its first annual writer's contest. The contest opened on
October 15, 2003 and ends on April 15, 2004. Details are available at
http://bizwriter.domynoes.net/contest/. The contest is free to all
subscribers of The Business of Writing; any one who is not a subscriber can
sign up by sending a blank email to bizwriter-subscribe.TakeThisOut@topica.com or by
visiting http://bizwriter.domynoes.net.

The prizes have been donated by EPIC, TShirt Studio, Bruce Holland Rogers,
Bear Press Editorial Services, Writing-World.com, and AbsoluteWrite. The
first prize is $20 cash, a copy of Bruce Holland Rogers popular writing book
"Word Work: Surviving and Thriving as a Writer", a copy of Moira Allen's
book "Starting your Career as a Freelance Writer", a copy of Stephen King's
"On Writing", a one year subscription to "Absolute Markets Premium Edition",
a tee-shirt with contest logo, and publication on The Business of Writing
Contest Winners website. There are also similar prize packages for second
and third place entries.

All entries must be submitted by 9:00pm EST on April 15 2004. A panel of
judges will then judge the entries and the winners will be announced in the
July 2004 issue of The Business of Writing. The panel of judges consists of
five people from various roles within the writing industry. There are two
editors, one writing group manager, a freelance writer, and a professional
technical writer.
