In case anyone is wondering about the lack of traffic, this moose
would just like to point out that Demon's News swerver has been
B0rken all day. 3:O(>

Keeper-of-moose wishes to draw attention to the fact that a 4-DVD
set of "Fully Restored, Completely Uncut, Totally Looney" Warner
Bros. cartoons was found in HMV on Saturday. Perhaps they have
developed a clue?[1]

413 minutes of mayhem. 3:O)>

Cadbury Moose.
[1] Or they've just picked the cartoons that U.S.TV _don't_ cut?[2]
[2] But it does say: "Not to be exported outside the EU" on the box.[3]
[3] It also says "Not for rental" on the box, but _all_ the disks say
"For rental or resale[4]" on them.[5]
[4] Have they omitted the word "Not"?
[5] This moose hereby withdraws any suggestion that Warner have a clue.

A Muppets DVD boxset turned up in HMV too over Christmas. I don't
think it's *quite* the same as the US one discussed here previously,
but it can't be far off. (It's not even quite as comprehensive as the
VHS set that HMV did the year before, but who cares? Even if I did
buy both of them Wink

Oh, and on a related note... (watch any wrapping)

(I came out as the Swedish Chef, despite attempting to avoid the
obvious "bork! bork! bork!" answers...)

I seem to be Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, whom I don't remember, but the quote
seems right: "Now, Beakie, we'll just flip this switch and 60,000
refreshing volts of electricity will surge through your body. Ready?"

How on earth did I end up as Kermit? I thought for sure I was a
cookie Monster. Bummer. Then again, one of the people in the SF
Discussion Group I run at work sent a link for a "what SF author are
you " and I came out Hal Clement. Went back, changed answers and
still came out Hal Clement

With enough juggling, I got one of my favorites, Rowlf.

Round gentlemuppet in lab coat, glasses, no eyes or hair. Beaker had
red hair, and white coat possibly with tie and tended to go "Beak, or
Meak" in a sort of whiney, high pitched voice because he knew whatever
Honeydew predicted would happen, and poor Beaker would get zapped. My
college roomy had a thing for Beaker.

I'd just like to say that a very generous friend sent me a veery nice
belated birthday pressie, which arrived today - a Sony DVD (multi-region,
apparently, though I don't have anything to test on it yet!), and some nice
DVD thingies to play on it (the first four series of Red Dwarf, and both
series of "Mapp & Lucia")
So, I might be a little distracted this week...
Au Res.,
Paul (having a crowning moment in the morning)

May I recommend the Region 1(US) version of The West Wing (season 1).
It;s one of the few times I have bought something twice, because the
US version is just so much better (lots of extra bits.)
This also means I have been happily lending out my original Region 2
set and converting people to The Best Show On Television (tm)...

(later: looks at a.n.other group and sees that you've already been
asking about this Wink
