Llewellyn's 2007 Witches' Calendar © 2006 Llewellyn Worldwide ISBN
0-7387-0329-X 32 pages Paperback $12.99 U.S.) $17.95(Canada)

What can I say about Llewellyn's Witches Calendar 2007? The first
twenty-three pages are the most useful, being composed of the actual
calendar. The next eight are the most interesting. Consisting of one-page
articles on a variety of Topics (this year including "Golden Years, Silver
Months", "Following the Green Magic", "Calling Elementals", "handfasting",
"Banishings", "Cultivating Your Creativity", "Little People" and "Paganism:
A Modern Movement"). The final page is an explanation of the calendar
pages.

The calendar pages include basic astronomical/astrological data: the moon
phases, moon signs and transitions, and sun signs as well as a "Color of the
Day" which serves to suggest the type of ritual influence appropriate for
each date. There are also anniversary dates, birthdates of noted
occultists, Celtic Tree Month notes and other miscellany. In other words,
pretty much what you would expect from a company which started out with an
astrological basis and expanded into the greater occult community. Much of
this information repeats from year to year, which should come as no
surprise.

Each edition of this calendar, however, is marked by new articles (often by
new authors) and absolutely striking illustrations for each month. While
there are those who feel that this calendar is over-priced, I disagree. The
illustrations and articles are well worth the price.

I don't always agree with the articles, but I have often been inspired to
widen my own investigations by something I have read in this section of the
calendars. I have also encountered a few "Why didn't I see that before?"
moments over the years.

This is one of the staples in my house. Everyone has a calendar in their
room, and no two of them are the same, but this is the one
Pagan/occult-themed that is available every year.
