Llewellyn's 2008 Witches' Calendar © 2007 Llewellyn Worldwide ISBN
0-7387-0555-1 32pages Paperback $12.99 (U.S.) $17.95(Canada)

Every year Llewellyn brings out a uniquely illustrated wall calendar. The
calendar pages are the least interesting part of this yearly offering, after
all, not much changes from year to year. The draw is the monthly articles
and the articles at the end of the calendar. The authors of these articles
bring unusual views, as well as more mainstream thoughts to the topics they
choose to write about it.

The illustrations are always executed in a "primitive" style which draws the
eye and reveals unexpected depths. In a world which seems more and more to
be a world of computer generated images, it is nice to see these images.

I know there are people who don't like anything from assorted publishers
(Llewellyn seems to draw a lot of that reaction, for whatever reason), but
if you are willing to put aside such prejudice and actually read what is
here, I think you will find it interesting and worth the price.
