And you still haven't answered my question. Would you, or would you not
call the police if you were a victim of a violent crime?

1. Because you seem to think this newsgroup is about you, so you merit
your own header.

2. One swallow does not a summer make. I have worked with and know
hundreds of "consultants". Many of them are idiots. Management reforms
in the NHS have considerable reduced the power and status of consultant
physicians and surgeons, so it is hardlysurprising that some are
griping. The consultant in question probably resigned from the NHS
because he had a better job elsewhere and decided to take a few parting
shots. Of course the consultants don't like the target system because
it makes them work harder. Disclosure: my sister is an NHS consultant.

Course I would. Why not continue in the other thread, doc?

Now answer the other thread.

ps: in the papers a consultant has resigned from the NHS and blown the
whistle on the corruption of the target system and the BILLION quid spent on
management consultants.

You don;t think I gave him a better argument than he gave me? I mean, come
on, Burt, you are an honest man...

..>Let it go, find a pub with a beer garden.

Well, Tommy boy, I have a great beer garden near here, I was in it last
night having a real nice time with pals: two of whom were non-whites! And we
didn't discuss politics, merely music and life in general. This happens on a
regular basis! So ROBBIE the facist, remorseless, bitter, horrible,
political bore *is* the invention of disgruntled lefties. Let's face it, if
I hadn't stepped out of the cosy-left ringfence, I would nevber have
received such scorn.

I'm surprised at *you* liking it.

Nope. I am genuinely surprised you like it because - and he's been my mate
for well over a decade and won't mind a bit if I say this - he's very and
unapologetically right-wing - far more than the level attributed to me - has
nil point respect for protected minorities, used to have a semi-fascist blog
called Union Jackal IIRC, worships Nietzsche, has a fanatical loathing of
left-wingers, uses far more insulting and belittling nicknames those tribes
that lie outside the Watford Gap than the ones you have prigged me up on for
using and generally makes me look like a beardy-weirdy from the back benches
of the Labour Party. Of course, he is a fellow academic - a Doc of Phil.
actually - and likes Bill Hicks, The Smiths, Royal Trux and quite possibly
The Libertines; there perhaps lies the attraction/validation for you.

Good for you about the rose. Maybe we all can club together on here and buy
the house at Wallington for a museum. I expect Dr Jon could afford it!
