Rachel Summers - Is it me or was Wolverine giving off kind of a paternal vibe in Uncanny #447. THere are only a few reasons I could think of for this 1) He feels bad for attacking her (trying to actually kill) in Uncanny 208 or 209, and is trying to make up for it 2)..

Yes, but the implication from the "Generation X Collectors Preview" was
that the X-Men would be teaching courses. That wasn't the case. This
discussion has been (lately, anyway) about whether or not certain X-Men
were certified to teach.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Rachel and Kitty |

That would actually work, I think. Substitute teachers don't need
certification of any sort, but usually require, at minimum, an
associate's degree. (Some places even allow high school grads to
substitute teach.) That said, I don't know the rules in Massachusetts.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Rachel and Kitty |

Yes, this is true. Others have stated that Illinois requires that
bartenders be 21.

No more unusual than the "married at 18, but no celebration until 21"

Don't know, but maybe star navigation? That would be useful for flyers.
Strange as it might sound, how about Dr. Connors, the Lizard? I can see him
fitting in pretty well...but I guess the Spiderman universe wouldn't want
him to be used.

Wolfsbane had enough smarts for Moira MacTaggert to recruit her as an assistant
for research into stopping the Legacy Virus.
But Cyclops stupidly put the kibosh on Ms. Sinclair. (Maybe he was too

In England and Wales, if you are 16 or 17, you still need parental/guardian
permission to marry, which is no different than in nearly every state in the
US.

The Lizard's in jail at the moment, having turned himself in, so he's
really off limits generally for now.

These things, they can be taught. The others, are more like boy/girl scout badges.

Well I dunno about Ray, but Clairemont seems to be playing Kitty rather
like pre-Tara Willow.

Thanks for all the answers. Of course in true Marvel-fashion they
raised some new questions but at least I've now gotten the grasp of
Kitty's appearances in the past few years. She's my favourite
character and I'm trying to get hold of as many titles as possible
with her.
The other day I found an Excalibur off shoot written by Clearmont in a
used comics store. It was a mini series that I don't remember the
title of but it's about Kitty and Rachel being thrown back in time to
the 30s. In the story they get involved in a plot where a group of
nobles in England is collaborating with the nazis. Wolverine appears
and Kitty falls in love with an english pilot.
I kinda liked it until the final issue ruined everything for me. I was
just wondering what the opinion on this group was about that mini
series?
Was GLMK 2 any good?
And finally, what is Storm and Kitty's relationship these days?

That'd be "True Friends" I guess

I liked it. Would have liked it even more had it been released when it
was supposed to be.

X-MEN: TRUE FRIENDS. Two good issues and an absolutely fucking awful
final one.
The story was originally meant to appear in EXCALIBUR SPECIAL EDITION
#3-4, back around 1990. It was shelved, partially completed, after
Claremont left Marvel. Then they dug it up, finished it, and released
it as TRUE FRIENDS.
The crap issue is the new one, as far as I'm aware, but in fairness, I
don't suppose they radically overhauled a previously good story in order
to make it crap.
>
>Was GLMK 2 any good?
It's okay, yes. It suffers a little from having movie characters
shoehorned in where they don't fit - Lady Deathstrike really shouldn't
be in it. But it's perfectly enjoyable stuff, overall.
