The most god-awful piece of crap ever produced by Claremont.

Yeah. That about sums it up. The last issue was bloody awful.

It wasn't bad. I think it was about this time that Claremont started to
improve.

They don't seem to be as close as they used to be, but neither do
they seem to be further apart. They just haven't really worked closely
together for a while.

Does "True Friends" happen after Rachel's return after being absent
from Excalibur? It seems like it because of some comments Kitty throws
at her during their fight in the beginning on #1. This confuses me a
bit because I thought Rachel returned without no one knowing about it
and then she pulled a Kitty and went to college for a while.

Or am I just nuts, drunk or both?

True Friends is supposed to take place in early issues of Excalibur, probably
towards the end of the Cross-Time Caper. It was originally written and penciled
in 1990 and was supposed to be Excalibur Special Editions #3 and 4
(something about these books was mentioned in an editorial note Excalibur
#22), but the project was shelved and didn't see print for about 10 years.

Question about Rachel - I haven't been reading the Xbooks for a while. Is this the same Rachel who was in Excalibur, best freidns with Kitty etc. Or is she a version of Rachel taken from earlier in her life. In the latest issue of Uncanny she seems considerably less mature..

Rachel Summers - Is it me or was Wolverine giving off kind of a paternal vibe in Uncanny #447. THere are only a few reasons I could think of for this 1) He feels bad for attacking her (trying to actually kill) in Uncanny 208 or 209, and is trying to make up for it 2)....

Rachel grew hair? - I guess being a telekenetic, she could probably do something about her hair, but it's just weird seeing rachel that way. I guess with storm, one could pose the same argument, but I always liked the longer hair on storm so I don't really want to..

Rachel and Dark Phoenix - I was thinking today about how many readers reacted to the original Dark Phoenix storyline by pointing out that characters like Thor and Professor X never went crazy with their power (the implication being that Jean did because she was a woman); Marvel..

Rachel Summers (Spoilers) - Possible spoilers I have a question. Has Rachel/Marvel Girl always been shown as such an average telepath before? She's getting owned left and right like a two dollar whore. Yeah, I know, I know, she actually used to be a hound for..
