True Friends is supposed to take place in early issues of Excalibur, probably
towards the end of the Cross-Time Caper. It was originally written and penciled
in 1990 and was supposed to be Excalibur Special Editions #3 and 4
(something about these books was mentioned in an editorial note Excalibur
#22), but the project was shelved and didn't see print for about 10 years.
