I haven't been reading the Xbooks for a while. Is this the same Rachel who was
in Excalibur, best freidns with Kitty etc. Or is she a version of Rachel taken
from earlier in her life. In the latest issue of Uncanny she seems
considerably less mature than the last time I saw Rachel in Excalibur (and I
also wonder why someone who had grown fairly comfrotable as Phoenix would go
"back" to Marvel Girl)

We dreamed of doing but could not bring ourselves to do,
The fears of years, like a biting whip,
Had cut deep bloody grooves
Across our backs.

As far as we know (always have to put that disclaimer), she is the same Rachel.
As for her attitude, she's got less burden these days.

Same Rachel. I think her coming across as younger has to do with the
dynamic being created by her "evil stepmother" adversarial
relationship with Emma Frost. It makes her come off as less mature
than the Rachel we are traditionally used to circa Excalibur. She is
also firmly in her Father's orbit for the first time since he
discovered her identity which should affect her character as well.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
