Can I add that for me CS Lewis helped me find the
path to knowledge. When a teenager in the 1970s
the media was full of moral relativism and the theory that
morals and ethics really only said soemthing about the
emotions of the speaker/writer.

CS Lewis years before had refuted with such
telling arguments this sort of position.

And in his works he was able to show how pride and
pettiness and psychological slights were related to
objective concepts of sin in a way that established
that sin is a meaningful and real concept.

A great writer whose books will endure.

When I was ready to return to the God I had turned my back on twenty years
before, I dug up my musty old copy of Mere Christianity and read it again. It
was not the book I had remembered, now full of light and piercing insight, only
God could set me on the path to knowledge but CSL was a willing servant and
with his wisdom has touched many lives.

He said all men shall be sailors then, until the sea shall free them.
