Post subject: that Rick Kleffel interview

pardon my ignorance... but has Clive been gargling razor blades? or did
he just have a hideous cold when they recorded that? wau. listening to
it taxed my speech-recognition modules.

I know what you mean. It's a great interview but Clive's voice does
sound a bit hoarse and crackly. On the Abarat website
(http://www.booksofabarat.com), there's an audio interview with Clive,
and an audio of him reading a chapter of Abarat 2, and his voice
sounds the same - hoarse and crackly.
