And a publisher that:
(1) gets the permission of the estate to keep using the author's name
(2) hires ghost-writers to write new books based on the author's previous
notes (or, in the absence of that, to come up with new ideas)!
It's understandable in a way. There are so few writers left who are
brand-name, million-plus sellers--and publishers need to stay in the black
to keep publishing books (including those by new authors who don't have a
established audience yet).
