Right, I'm posting this here simply coz I'm sick of just seeing spam in this group every day.

So, did Roger MacBride Allen actually get a credit on the movie I, Robot? I just started reading
Caliban again, and the premise is so similar to "that movie", although in Caliban Leving wasn't
actually murdered.

Discuss!

;o)

No. No one connected to anything Asimovian had anything to do with the
original screenplay--it did not even have that title to begin with.
Calvin, the Three Laws, et al were add-ons, done to take advantage of a
(putative) connection to Asimov.

Not related with your question, but one of the things that most bothered
me about the movie is that there wasn't really a need for the lead robot
to violate the 1st law and killing the old man. It would have sufficed
with him saying "I broke the window and the rest was the own acts of
<old man name>".<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Did you notice that U.S. Robots had become US Robotics in the film? Wonder how many modems they've
sold since... ;o)<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Can anyone confirm or deny US Robotics was named for U.S. Robots?
