SPOILER - Question about Emms Frost

if you're referring to the incident at the strip club......as part of a
plan to recruit her, Xavier and Moira went to the HellFire club and
were in the audience when Emma and other women were on the stage
pole-dancing. Emma noticed Charles and after brief conversation they
(including Moira) went to the back to get a "private dance". Once in
private Emma tried to use her powers on Charles to get him to give her
all his money. He easily warded off her attempts and talked to her
telepathically which really confused her. Then he told her that she was
a mutant (which seemingly enraged her) and that this place was
dangerous. He said the men who run this place know what you are. She
seemed disgusted by the entire conversation and told them both to
leave.

Once they had left she ran out behind them to get answers on what
Charles meant by the men who run this place "already know what she is".
The club bouncer came to try to bring Emma back in by force and Kid
Vulcan (Gabriel Summers) , who apparently was waiting in the car all
this time, blasted the bouncer with some kind of energy blast.

Xavier then admitted to Moira that something is wrong here, this entire
situation is more complicated than he imagined and that Emma would have
never come with them. He then basically mind-wiped everyone to forget
these events happened. Whether kid Vulcan and Moira were included in
the mind-wipe I'm not sure.

The dancing (not confirmed stripping) was established a few years
back, I believe by Morrison in Emma and Jean's confrontation. It was
one panel and generic, not identified at the Hellfire Club. That may
have been added during the Emma Frost series, though I don't know if
they ever got that far in her history

In the aforementioned Morrison penned Phil Jimenez issue of New X-Men,
while "touring" Emma's memories, Jean finds a sequence where Emma gains
entry to Hellfire Club membership by Frost using her telepathy to
project the image of an expert exotic dance replacing her actual
"amateurish" movements into the minds of the Club Hierarchy sitting in
judgement.
I think there is some room continuity wise for a stint as a dancer
since Emma's status in the club prior to Shaw's overthrowing of the
human inner circle headed by the White King (Buckman?) is kind of
nebulous.
It is conceivable that Shaw and Frost became allies during her time as
a dancer rising thru the ranks.

This would also seem to echo the Morrison issue where Cyclops visited
the HClub and watched a performance of a telepathic dancer who "wore"
the appearance of Jean in her Black Queen garb for his benefit.

Notice that Xavier changes his mind about when the bouncer mentions
"Shaw"...I'm guessing that had something to do with it...

As to the Kitty incident...Haven't read it in a while, but is it ever
specifically shown that they don't know each other by then?

Emma knows Xavier (her tought bubbles say something like "oh, here
comes Xavier and his X-Men..."), but Xavier makes no indication one way
or the other about knowing Emma. He just sits in his wheelchair as she
passes.

Emma also makes the hair on the back of Logan's neck stand on edge.

I suppose it's possible Xavier recognized, but maybe he just thought
she'd risen to bigger and better things. THat he chose not to take the
time to examine her mind.

This came out either in her own series or, more likely, during the
"Murder at the Mansion" arc of New X-Men.

Tessa-related? I'd really like a new Hellfire Club mini at this stage to tie
all the retcons together. Something picking up from the Emma Frost mini and
covering her rise, with Tessa's story built in.

When did this take place (timeline-wise, not issue #)?

I believe it was the first part of the Planet X arc...but I'm not sure
of the exact number.
