Hi all,
I am curious to know what ST books (s) you all are reading currently. I'm
reading "Starfleet Academy" by Diane Carey. I didn't know if I'd like it but
I am enjoying it - I really like the way Diane Carey writes. It's an oldie -
pub 1996 - and it's second hand but a read I enjoy. Capt Kirk, Capt Sulu and
Commander Checkov feature in it as well as starfleet cadets of course.
I am also into "Prime Directive" by Judith & Garfield reeves-Stevens another
oldie from 1990 (2nd hand again). I am finding the Prime Directive
references in there really interesting although I tend to go and in and out
of the books ability to hold my interest. It's about Kirk being banished
from Starfleet in disgrace.
I have quite a few of the newer novels but I was trying to go through the
books in some sort of chronological manner - but that's out the window!
So what ST are you all reading right now?
cheers

right now, i'm reading three books "Spock's World" by Diane Duane,
"Sarek" by A. C. Crispin and "Q-Squared" by Peter David.
of the three, the last book by Peter David is the weakest one, with all
that different time lines & track A, track B and so on, it just start to
bore me, but "Spock's World" is just so good,i'm enjoying my time reading it<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: what ST are you reading currently? |

Reading Pathways, need to also finish The Last Roundup, then I intend to
dive into The Sundered, as like many others, I have been very much
looking forward to The Lost Era series.

I enjoyed Starfleet academy as well.
I read Prime directive a long time ago and enjoyed it. I think I may read it
again when I am done my current books.
Right now I am reading The Genesis Wave book 2 and I have book 3 waiting for
me. After that I am going to read the Errand Of Vengeance Trilogy.
Recently I have also read The Last Round up ( very enjoyable ) , The
Laertian Gamble DS9 ( I hated it ), The Saratoga DS9 and The Siege DS9 (
another fine Peter David novel )

I have read Spocks world twice and loved it both times.
I wish more Trek writers would read it and use it for there basis on what a
Vulcan is all about.
If you have not read Diane Duane's Rihannsu ( Romulan ) books 1-4 ( My Enemy
My Ally, The Romulan Way, Swordhunt and Honor Blade ) I highly recommend
them as must read.
Sarek was an enjoyable read as well, I have not got around to Q-squared.

Just started The Sundered. Haven't read enough to make a decision on it,
but I am a fan of Sulu and Checkov, so I am looking forward to this one.
I have played alot of Starfleet Command II and Starfleet Command Orion
Pirates in the past few weeks. >> Stay informed about: what ST are you reading currently? |

I gotta admit that I love any novels to do with Vulcans - been intersted in
them since I was a kid and saw Spock for the first time.

Gateways: Demons of Air and Darkness.
Not just because Keith shows up here, but because it was next in line.
Pretty good story, K. But don't tell me how it ends.
I have "Gateways: What Lay Beyond" also. Is the entire book a necessary
read?
I don't have the Mission Gamma books yet. Nor Rising Son. Are they worth
getting?
