circa UXM #454-455.
That's unfortunate. I really like her. Tends to be a plot device sort of
character, but she has a lot of promise and is one of the more interesting
X-Men to be introduced in.... a very long time. The only ones in the last
15 years that seemed like she was actually a member (after the introductions
of Gambit and the on-again-off-again Bishop), as opposed to string of
5-minute members who've come and gone over the years (Marrow, Maggott,
Stacey X, Lifeguard, Slipstream, Thunderbird, Cable, Cecilia Reyes, Chamber,
etc.) Even Jubilee never seemed like a "real" X-Man.
I guess Sage becomes visually and thematically a bit redundant with the
return of Psylocke, especially if she's going to get the reset-button
treatment.
But as much as I like having Psylocke back, I would prefer to not give up
Sage for her.
I hope she finishes her work setting up Bobby as the head of the new
Hellfire Club soon and returns to the fold. Miss her already. >> Stay informed about: Sage....so she's off the team? |

She IS a somewhat interesting character, but Claremont's been hammering
her far too much over recent months. Frankly, we could do with a break
from her. I'm sure he'll get back to her story in due course. (Well,
okay, not SURE - it's Claremont, after all - but I'm sure he's planning
to.)

Depends. If she gets old body and cuts back on hand-to-hand combat, and
Sage focuses more on nimbo-ing and backs off the weird sunglasses,
perhaps not. They could even try to blame some of Sage's current
weirdness on the sunglasses. Not saying it's a great idea, but hey...
it's Claremont.... mind control...
Who knows, maybe they'll pull a storyline from the Crossing and say
that the sunglasses were a trick to confuse the X-men, like say in the
Viper-in-London storyline. :-><!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Sage....so she's off the team? |

It would be nice of some other x-writer picked up Sage. She could be
nice in the hands of Milligan or Whedon.

Not Whedon. We already have enough tension between Kitty and Emma --
although it would be interesting to see Tessa (her real name, by the way?)
and Emma interact. But ultimately it would be redundant (the interaction
with Emma in lieu of Kitty and having another telepath).
I'd say ship her over to Milligan with the rag-tag team of X-Men. She might
be the much-needed glue for that team. She has the strongest personality,
for sure, at least in the hands of Claremont.

We'll find out she's off somewhere looking for Lifeguard, Slipstream and

Of course. But there's no real story in that!
Besides, Emma could have located Golgotha with Cerebra, but just had to fly
down to Antarctica herself.

She says in UXM #454 that Tessa is the name Sebastian Shaw gave her, so
probably not. Until some writer forgets that and contradicts it, I suppose.

Lifeguard and Thunderbird were in EXCALIBUR a few months back, actually.
They were working for X-Corp in India.

No, quite the opposite. She relies on technology to get all her
information. With no tech, she has no input, so her processing
abilities are crippled.

The technology *amplifies* her, but she hardly relied on technology
for her first 20-30 years of existence.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Sage....so she's off the team? |

But she would be able to be an organic data store and processor anyway. Lack
of tech would limit her, but in local terms, in terms of logistics,
quartermastering and co-ordinating efforts she might be invaluable. She can
still read after all.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Sage....so she's off the team? |

No, because that would leave her in the hands of Claremont. I want to
see her under a more capable writer.
