I believe that you're letting OE wrap your lines for you?

Under the assumption that this is correct:
Your original lines also appear as long in my OE reader, but
when I check the source, I can see that they're wrapped 'correctly'.
I think OE inserts some kind of mark (when I look at your message
source I see a "=" at the end of your original lines) which it -
and apparently also Gravity, interprets as a non-breaking linebreak.
(did that make sense?).

How do your lines appear in your own reader?

2 lines, as opposed to 3 lines at Google. That indicates that you are correct. Either that or OE-quotefix simply reformat all lines.

I enter my line breaks manually, and looking in my my own source there
is no "=" marks at the end of my lines.

I don't know whether this is an actual problem, though (but it's nice
to know what happens Wink) as the lines still show up nicely on Google
and wraps just fine to the window in newsreaders who recognise the
format.

Playing around with my OE for a moment, I found this in the
Tools->Options->Send->Plain Text Settings->MIME->Encode Text Using ...
where one can select e.g. "none". Just to see if it works, I am now writing
a very long line Wink

If the above wraps correctly in OE and Gravity, then we should have found
the solution.

Some of your lines appeared long in xnews (or at least the way I
have it set) - and now they are wrapping quite nicely.

The way I have my view set up (split screen) long lines will
wrap anyhow, so it is sometimes hard to tell if there is a line
wrap problem.

Well, If it makes everyone happy I will revert to that format too, testing
it now with a very long line.Does it work?

I write better stuff most of the time, its just not on this subject.

LOL!

But I feel the need to post on Tolkien every so often.
