Archived from groups: alt>books>deryni (more info?)

Hi, folks! I've just joined this ng, so pardon if I'm asking something
that's already known by everyone.

I've been away from my books, and in general, the literary community for far
too long - and I need to know: Have there been any books in the deryni
universe since KKB?

Thanks!!

I see Ed has already enlightened you C P. I'd also like to welcome
you to the ng. The people are mostly very friendly here (heck they
let ME post...)

There is also Deryni Tales a collection of short stories published in Deryni

Thanks so much for your warm welcome, folks!! I know I'm gonna like it
here - but you'll have to bring me up to speed on the various "factions"
Represented, LOL... Smile

BTW, my two & a half yr old daughter's middle name is "Richenda"...as much
for the KK character as for my cousin Richard who died just before my
daughter's birth - I wanted to name her for him, and thought that "Richenda"
was perfect. Smile

Thanks again!

Well lets see,
There is that group that likes that stuffy, full of himself Bishop of
Dhassa, uh what is his name.... can't seem to remember

There is that group that likes that full of himself kings champion- Al
something or another

Then there is the group that likes that other Bishop

but generally this is a fun group who keeps an eye on the ridiculous.

Eh, I just call him "The Bishop of Dhassa."

Well, you must admit that his lively renditions of "Just Eat It" did a lot
more to liven up dull privy council meetings than that Arilan dude ever
did...<EG>

Yes, I'll add my vote to that tally. Hello and welcome to alt.books.deryni,
CP. =o) I approve of your daughter's middle name, and I'm sure Alaric Morgan
would, also. (Thumbing nose at the DAFC, but discreetly.) Even our cut
throat competitions keep an element of fun. =o)

Doesn't someone keep a list for KK of all the children named after one of
her characters? Seems to me there are quite a few.

Marion

PS. there are those right thinking individuals who realize a complex
character like Denis Arilan is much more interesting than the ever so
boringly perfect Alaric Morgan. Then there are those who are wrong.

Oh, yes, there's the "love Peeps" (aka "the in crowd") and the "hate Peeps"
(the "in crowd wannabes")

Then there are people like me, who really don't have strong opinions one way
or the other.

Welcome to the group,

Excuse, me, but as President of the DAFC, I also like Richenda as a middle
name. I love Richenda, it's her husband that I think is a snoozer...

Ok, I admit it was amusing, in it's way...

But then you've never seen Denis "The Menace" Arilan in his silver gilt
cassock with GLAM spelled out in glowing shiral crystals across the front,
shredding on his deep X-body Les Paulin mandolin, now, have ya????

Personally I always saw Arilan as a fiddle player and Alaric's
rendition of "I bought it on Ebay" was much better than his "Eat It".
Though I must admit that his and Arilan's rendition of Dueling Banjos
at Christmas court was almost inspiring.
