Why didn't Abigail Hearns have armsmen?

She wasn't a Steadholder, a Steadholders Heir, or a Diplomat.

Most grayson's off planet would not have an armsman.

At that time (during Service Of The Sword) mere steadholder daughters
didn't 'require' armsmen. As of the beginning of _The Shadow of
Saganami_, the Grayson Steadholders realized that since their daughters
could inherit their Steadhold, then Steadholder Daughters had to have
armsmen like their brothers.

Technically she was a Steadholder's Heir (after her brother) but the
rules hadn't been changed to require her to have an armsman.

Ah! It was set BEFORE Faith's birth! I was confused because
"Let's Go To Prague" was set after Honor's return from Hades.

Not really, at the time of "Service Of The Sword" Abigail was one of her
father's heirs (after the oldest of her brothers) but the Steadholders
had forgotten to require that their daughters have armsmen. Might want
to re-read the opening chapters of _The Shadow of Saganami_. We met
Abigail again and she is 'musing' over the new requirement.

And there it is, sitting right there on the shelf!

Well, let's be about it, then.
