First...the time elapsed between shards and talon. From what robert said, I
have to say its been 30-40 years depending on how many years passed since
talon was at the inn and the end of the book. But this makes me wonder
about a few things. First, Roo is dead? he wouldnt have been over 30 (more
like 25) at the end of shards but about the middle of talon, hes dead
already. Sure anything could have happen, but i would have liked to see a
bit more info...Next...King Ryan? Patrick was younger than jimmy and dash
but he already had his son on the throne? Jimmy and dash are still alive but
patricks retired? odd.

Magnus. This guys a bundle of oddness. His hair is white and hes under 30
years old? I could understand this if Gamina was a true daughter of pug,
but since she isnt, how did he end up with white hair?....

Nakor...well this is just nitpicking...but i think he was a little too
serious in this one...and Miranda too stodgey in the little bit we saw of
them.

a bit more time spent in krondor might have helped greatly...maybe a statue
of general Von Darkmoor, or a comment about how crowded the temple of
arch-indar was as they passed. Please Ray, give us some closure on our old
friends Wink

Thanks
Azith

Talon of A silver Hawk is set around 100 years after Magician
(according to the publisher and i think Ray may have said so himself)

In Shadow of a Dark Queen Arutha died at 80, so there is ABOUT a 50
year gap between Shadow of a Dark Queen and A Darkness at Sethanon
(Arutha was ABOUT 30 then)

Arutha was about 18 when he took control of the Garrison at Crydee (he
says so to Amos in The Kings Buccaneer) so there`s 10 - 12 year gap
between Magician and Sethanon.

So around Sixty years have passed since Magician and Shadow of a Dark
Queen

Add 40 years for the Gap between Shards and Talon and you get roughly
100 years.

Roo was about 19 at the start of the Serpent War and 30 at the end.
Add 40 years and he could have plausibly died at 70.

As for the Statue of Erik - that would have been stupid, over the top,
and overall just shit.
We were reminded of the serpent war through the old sea wall and then
reminded of old charachters by Talon reading the book of Roo`s life.

i think you`re being anal and picky and should enjoy some of Rays best
work.

J

ps - notice i used the word "ABOUT", it`s a rough estimate.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
