Hi all.... Smile

Someone bought me Blackwood Farm for my birthday.... Thing is, I haven't
read the other books in the series, so I was wondering if it's the kind of
book you can read independently, or if it's best to go through them all in
order.... Thoughts, opinions and recommendations anyone?.... Smile

Many thanks,

Chris Davis.

Hi,

Personally, I would recommend reading the first few first!

Best to start at the beginning. The berating you get from LeStat will
bewilder you - also, it's not a bad idea to have read the three books about
the Mayfair Witches...

I think it's alright to read Blackwood farm on it's own, however it is best
to read the others so you get to know Lestat, and find out who the Mayfair
witches are as well.

It is always best to start at the beginning, but especially with this story.
The first few books introduce you to some of the vital characters of the
series. It'll help you understand them better. If you're just looking to
get the books to read and not really to collect, check out the used books on
Amazon.com - I've been able to find most of the books in great condition
(and usually for under $5 hardcover). If you buy two or three at time,
you'll have the entire collection in no time.

Now if you want to know what order to read the books in, check out some of
the other posts on this board. The order is basically a matter of personal
preference, so don't pay too much attention to the lists but rather to
people's reasoning behind the list.
