All ten titles on-topic (including meta-topical), which is of course
fine, though one wonders if all the posts keep to the topic Wink

 > Top 10 Threads by Volume

These are the same threads, but sorted a little differently.

I've calculated the average values per post - just for fun (in bytes):

Subject Vol. hdr body orig
-------
Why so little Silm[...]? 2061.2 1007.7 988.3 503.5
CotW, Bk 2, Ch 5 2419.8 1057.0 1312.3 742.8
A cool feature of LotR... 2457.1 1233.6 1202.7 550.2
CotW LOTR Bk2 Ch6 2686.6 1028.8 1547.5 899.2
Are any "evil" chars.[...]? 2751.5 1226.5 1462.5 673.0
CotW, BK 2, CH 4 3040.1 1108.6 1866.7 932.9
CotW, BK 2, Ch. 3 2486.0 1001.9 1442.3 824.7
Saruman's death 2335.0 1099.2 1190.8 550.8
All-time posters by vol[...] 1853.0 1057.3 770.4 317.0
Who Recommended LotR to You? 1903.1 899.9 965.9 575.3

So, in terms of average original and body content per post, CotW II,4 has
the highest value.

 > These threads accounted for 49.3% of the total volume.

In about 5% of the threads.
I wonder if we'd find a real Pareto ratio - that 20% of the threads
account for 80% of the volume / posts Wink

 > Top 10 Posters by Number of Posts

[...]
 > 67 228.9 ( 86.4/142.2/106.7) "Troels Forchhammer"

Summing the two yields:
157 517.4 (188.1/317.4/228.0)

<snip>

Unfortunately my total OCR is then 0.718, which will drop me out of the
list (unless I am /very/ lucky and gets to stay on in the end Wink

Once more the headers account for significantly more volume than the
original content. The average volume per line is 37.35 bytes, and since
the average volume of header per post is 1049.3 bytes, this means that we
will have to write 28.1 average lines of original content (on the
average) in order to average an original content volue equal to the
headers volue ( ... on average LOL!)

The OCR could be better - AFT did 0.666, and IIRC we've had periods where
the average OCR was above 0.7

 > - signature: 55.2 bytes (1.7 lines)

But for the relevant posts the averages are 139.9 bytes (4.3 lines),
which means that the signatures are about 20% of the original content
(though not counted towards that).
