Hi Friends,
Mom continues improving slowly. The last C-Diff test was
negative and the other infections are going away. The last blood test
(Friday) showed significant decrease in the white blood count and it was
almost back to normal. Kidney function is also improving but it will
take a while to return to normal. They are pumping her full of fluids
to increase kidney function so that makes breathing difficult and may
interfere with weaning from the vent. So far so good though. She did
10 hours on Friday (kind of by accident as the respiratory therapist
forgot to turn off the machine at 8 hours), 8 hours yesterday and 6
hours today. The fluid build up is causing some problems in that
department but it's kind of amazing that she's weaning at all when she's
sick.
Please keep the prayers coming. They are helping!
Love,
Susan >> Stay informed about: Susan update 10/22 |

Oh, good news, Susan! Putting a little extra in the prayers for your
Mom (and grab some for yourself as they zip past)
