Post subject: Susan's update 11/8
Archived from groups: alt>books>deryni (more info?)

Hi all,
We're having a bad week. Mom is having some bleeding off the
digestive tract, probably from the stomach. They think it's coming
from a bleeding ulcer and probably can be treated with medicines and
cutting back on Heparin and Coumadin. Anyway, she's in ICU at the
rehab hospital for the moment so she can be watched closely. So please
pray for her quick recovery from this new problem. And that her
pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs) goes away fast so she gets back to
breathing well again.
The breathing problems were leading to some problems getting
the insurance to pay to keep her there and them wanting to kick her out
and send her to a nursing home or someplace with less intense care. I
was hassling over that when this stomach thing came up. The good thing
about it (if there is one) is that she can't be kicked out of Kindred
while she's in ICU and it buys us more time.
Thanks for the prayers!
Love,
Susan
