Susan's update 8/13

Hi all,
Good news -- Dad's white count went down again and
he has no fever for the third day in a row!
Hallelujah! Looks like the infection is going away.
Thank God! Now if we could just get his GI tract
working again. They're doing a couple more tests on
the GI tract tomorrow to find out what's going on with
that.
They seem to be having some trouble balancing
mom's blood. They had been giving her Coumadin and
Heparin to make sure she didn't have another stroke
but I guess now her blood is too thin because she got
all sorts of bruises and she may need to be given more
blood. Otherwise she's doing well.
I'm going to try to answer some of the lovely
emails you've all sent me...I have piles of them so I
don't know how far I'll get.
