Hi all,
Well, things are progressing. Dad is getting tube
feeds but digesting verrrrry slowly. Let's just pray
he manages to keep digesting some of it. His white
count is down in the normal range and temp. is back to
normal range but blood pressure is still low and needs
med. to be maintained which indicates infection isn't
gone. They removed the lung drain from the left lung
but did a lung tap on the right lung and are looking
for infection there...we don't have results of that
test yet. But the liver enzyme numbers are going in
the right direction. Hurray!
Mom is doing well. She rubbed her eyes today with
ehr right hand...lifting her hand all the way to her
face in purposeful movement. She's talking
intelligently. The only problem is she tires easily
and gets terribly agitated when I'm not there, which
interferes with her weaning from the ventilator.
