You are having a geek discussion that is worthless. Comics are not
books. Find another newsgroup!

Problem is, that's more pages than there are people who'd actually buy
the thing. Heck, that might be more pages than there are people who'd buy
it as a SHOWCASE PRESENTS, let alone the high-priced Omnibus format.

I'd just as soon see -- well, no, now that I think about how horrendously
Weng was treated prior to the late 1970s, I don't think I'd want to see a
series of just-plain-BLACKHAWK SPs after all. The Burchett version,
sure... maybe even the Evanier/Spiegle run... but nothing with a fat,
yellow-tinted, buck-toothed kid wearing a tea-towel as a shirt.

The fat Chop-Chop was gone by then:

http://sacomics.blogspot.com/2006/07/evolution-of-chop-chop-in-pictures.html

Basically the Silver Age Chop-Chop shed the weight, became more
boyish, then started to grow taller and a little older. In #197 he
shed the green and yellow costume.

Although he was clearly played for comic relief, he also displayed
exceptional bravery, often risking his own life to rescue the other
Blackhawks.
