Hypocrite in Chief, Hillary has commanded, has declared that it is an insult
to the pride of the American public that they should have to hear about the
bitterness of the poor. Let them eat cake is the slogan of her campaign.
And what is that cake for the bourgeoisie but their false pride, their
conceit, their desire to have their pride but not have to eat it too, when
eating it is the one thing on the table they most especially have coming to
them.
That Hillary should claim to be champion of the pride of the poor, that she
is here like Rocky, out there tossing back shots of whisky, taking the
courage to protect the feelings of an armed dope pusher in the barrio
against having to hear about his guns, or any aspersion to his character
that might come with it . . .
Oh, she is good. Very good. She has even found the way to make a concern for
the poor from Obama's lips sound un-American, less than patriotic, and/or in
a word, "elitist".
With a talent for slander like that, she should be reporting for the
National Enquirer and not messing around with the small stuff of a bid for
the White House.
The Clintons know better than they know anything how to take advantage from
the downright feral workings of the herd mentality; they know how it is that
once a fully duped public has sunk its teeth into a lie so meaty and bloody
as this one, you will pay holy hell to try and get it away from them again;
not after they've savored a taste of it, all so nicely flavored as it is
with the choicest of their most savory conceits and spicy prejudices.
The Clintons are good. It's as if they had majored in this evil art at
college. That college was not Harvard or Yale, but the Institute of Dirty
Hardball, from which they graduated summa cum lousy at Little Rock.
How do you take a few sentences of perfectly innocent observations, to parse
and deconstruct them, and put them back together into something totally
other than what was meant? A little Derrida and Foucault might help, but you
still must have the talent for putting it over on the public--and how do you
do that?
Are you kidding? This public? Talk about taking candy from a baby boomer . .

Sentences like this are a reason you might be misunderstood. Try
reading it out loud without taking a breath.
I didn't see it as pro-Obama because it is all anti-Hillary, and reads
like something coming from the Far Right. The reason Obama baffles the
Washington insiders is that he makes even the negative seem positive
and refreshingly new. Who else could have put a positive spin on the
Rev. Wright attack? Other candidates have tried to minimize negative
campaigning, but it cost them their careers. Obama just might pull it
off.

Trying to kill me aren't you? No, sir! You can't fool me into that
one.

Well--from a perspective of facing a map of the world, you'd be right,
I'd be way over to the far, far right even so far as Vienna, and
Sigmund Freud's house. That's the far right, downright reactionary
perspective from which I tend to view everything, let alone Hillary--
and I can't help it. Once you've been psychoanalysed yourself, and
have been forced to face your own self-delusions . . . nobody else
anywhere near you will ever be safe in theirs again, either. It's a
long story. But, take this for example: your criticism of my lack of
citations? It took a while, but now I must concede that you were
right. I can no longer delude myself about it. Truth takes time to
sink in through the defenses, but well--see for yourself the good your
therapy did me and check out my latest blog article on Brigitte
Bardot.

Despite all the recent glut of Hillary/press slander, he is up in the
polls! The American Public for once are not being led around by the
nose--not since the Hillary as Rambo, Sniper Fire incident.
People prefer an "elitist" to a bald-faced liar.
Go figure!

From Wiki:
"Elitism is the belief or attitude that those individuals who are
considered members of the elite — a select group of people with
outstanding personal abilities, intellect, wealth, specialized training
or experience, or other distinctive attributes — are those whose views
on a matter are to be taken the most seriously or carry the most
weight; whose views and/or actions are most likely to be constructive
to society as a whole; or whose extraordinary skills, abilities or
wisdom render them especially fit to govern... "
I'm with Jon Stewart. I *want* someone who thinks they are better than
me as President.
(Yes, of *course* it's wrong to value some people more than others
based on their access to resources.)

I like your blog. You a pretty funny girl/writer . . .
"When Becca Mayes beat me up in ninth grade, there was almost a reason
for it. In that case, I actually did something inconsiderate (asked
her boyfriend if it was true she was a slut (I wasn't one myself, yet,
and I was sincerely and naively curious about a rumor I'd heard))."
Hilarious!

P.S. I don't mean the sad, mean and tragic part, which though it must
bury you in pathos, might then raise you on the third day, laughing,
just as you've done, not so much 'at' the dead, as from among us,
'laughing with us' as they say. See Paula Poundstone--your soul sister. >> Stay informed about: Taking Candy from a Baby-Boomer |

Thank you for the really kind words, and thank you for taking the time
to read my words. That's such a huge deal to me when people do that.
The double parenthesis (parentheses?), by the way, annoy me though in
that quote.
Paula Poundstone is the one who's on the annoying show "wait, wait,
don't tell me," right? She's pretty funny. She's also the one who
helped me put on the reigns re: the Presidential election. Not giving
an opinion of who might win until the voters had their say.
The stories I'm writing these days have a hell of a lot of that tragic
stuff and there's nothing but hugs and laughs for the girl that went
through it all. Part of me, sure, but so long ago it's almost as if
she's got her own soul.
(If I believed in souls, that is.)
Anyway, thanks.
Fever-riddenly yours,
Heather
