Hi Ray,

I saw that you are signed up to appear at Mysterious Galaxy in May, any
chance of other signings or appearances for Flight of the Nighthawks?

Please consider UCLA Festival of Books.

We hardly see you anymore!!

Thanks,

Heidi

I have no control over where they ask me to go. For Flight, I'm not
touring anywhere. I will be in the UK in the fall for the release of
Into A Dark Realm.

I expect I'll be doing a US tour for that book next spring.

It pretty much goes from the other end, accounts find out I'm
available, they ask the publisher, they see what the dates are, etc.

If someone in L.A. wants me the same weekend I'm already schedule to be
in Portland . . . ?

See how it goes?

So, best advice is ask your local retailer if they can talk to Avon.

Best, R.E.F.

Ray,

I know of a major west coast university who would love to have you. I
will definately tell them to contact Avon.

Last year you didn't do a formal signing at SDCC, any chance you can do
one this year?

Thanks,

Heidi

Again, I have nothing to say about where I go. That's up to Avon.
Locally if someone at a bookstore here in town in interested, they can
contract me directly. I'll be at Mysterious Galaxy on May 4th at 7 pm,
for example. But there is no "tour" for this book this year. I have
never done a formal signing at SDCC, or any other community college to
the best of my recollection. I've done a couple at UCSD and SDSU over
the years.

Best, R.E.F.

Will that be only the UK or somewhere else in Europe too? Germany is very
nice in fall Wink

I'd love to go back to Germany. I haven't been there in about eight
years, but European publishers are very problematic. The financial
issues are very different from English language publishing.

I am going to try to get something going for 2007, because it'll be my
25 year of publication. Certainly, if I can get something underway, it
will be highly publicized.

That's FantasyCon in September, isn't it? Neil Gaiman's supposed to be going
as well, I think.

Could be. That would be great, as I haven't had a chance to visit with
Neil in almost ten years.
