As I mentioned in my first mail, I am French. I just wanted to underline the
problem of translation we had in the 1960s-1970s here. I have no idea why Nancy
Drew became Alice Roy in the French version and Caroline Keene became Caroline
Queene. I think the translations are now much better. We translate a lot here in
France and we read novels from all over the world (I am myself a fan of Israeli
detective writers Batya Gour and Shoulamid Lapid)

BTW, if you know of an English or American publisher who would be interested in
a rather well-known French detective fiction writer (hard-boiled) let me know.
My partner is Jean-Hugues Oppel, published by French publisher Rivages Smile))))

Now in England if you commit a crime, the police don't have a gun and you don't
have a gun so if you commit a crime it's "Stop, or I'll say stop again!" . Robin

might. Robin Williams
