This is our 243rd edition, with just one book. I can't manage to
be excited about the new Ultimates creative team or any of the
previews I've seen so far, and decided to pass on the Initiative
annual.
This week we have...

Ultimate X-Men #88 - "Sentinels, Epilogue" (Writer: Robert Kirkman,
Pencils: Yanick Paquette, Inks: Serge Lapointe
with
Karl Story, Pencils & Inks Pages 1-3, 21-22:
Salvadore Larroca, Colors: Stephane Peru)
After the fight with the Sentinels, the X-Men return home to deal with
the revelation that Beast is alive and has returned. Meanwhile, the
mansion has a friendly baseball game, and in the future, Cable reveals
his true plans for Xavier.
Although described as the Epilogue to Sentinels, it doesn't really
deal
with that plot that much at all. Really it's more of a bridge issue,
dealing with some of the more personal revelations on a quieter scale
and setting up things for the future.
That's not to say the issue is without action or dramatic events,
because things do happen... I'm just not sure it's enough to build up
the momentum that is needed to keep this title going. It still seems
to fall a bit flat, not managing to capture the excitement of the
earlier runs. It's okay, but nothing more.

Well, that's it for this week folks. Next week, according to the
shipping list, there's just one book. That's New Warriors #6.
See you next time...
