New X-Men #43 - "Children of X-Men, Part 2 of 2" (Story: Craig
Kyle & Chris Yost, Script: Chris Yost, Pencils &
Inks:
Skottie Young, Colors: Skottie Young & Jean
Francois-Beaulieu)
The students at the incident have a relatively quiet night at the
institute, although they still have to deal with the aftermath of
Noriko publicly kissing Julian.
Well, they've finally provided a reason for David to actually be
staying at the mansion now... and it's a good one. It's just a
shame that they had to take more than 20 issues of him being there
without a good reason for them to do it.
Other than that, it's a quieter issue full mostly of character
moments,
and it does the job better than last issue, outright addressing the
stupidity of the kids obsessing over the youngest mutant (but not the
stupidity of why they ruled out the other examples and arbitrarily
decided on someone who wasn't the youngest, or, for that matter, why
only a select number of people are apparently receiving training),
and there are a few genuine laughs, which is nice in a book that's
been dark for quite a while.

Well, that's it for this week folks. Next week, according to the
shipping list, there'll be two books. There's Astonishing X-Men #23,
and Mystic Arcana: Sister Grimm.
See you next time...
