Hey, guys. I'm new to this group, and this is something I'm sure you've
talked about before, but please indulge me.

I was told that Amazon has a listing under KV for "Untitled Project", due
out in January of '05. Is there anything to this? I haven't been following
him much lately, and I thought it was well understood that TQ was his
finale. Has he changed his mind, and is he really bringing out a new novel
in a few months? I could only hope so. And, if so, does anyone know anything
about it?

By the way, I have a book recommendation for anyone out there looking for a
good read in something of a Vonnegutian vein. Edward Abbey's "The Fool's
Progress," a man's road trip back to the place of his youth. The character
is a bitterly cynical misanthrope, but an absolutely hilarious one, and by
the end of the novel he feels (at least for me) like a friend you've known
for years. Some great philosophy throughout. KV is my favorite author, but
this is the book I take with me to that old desert island.

Thanks,
DD

I have heard the rumor about a new KV book, but can only HOPE that it
is true; I don't have any info. The guy who could probably answer that
is Mr. Weide who goes by the name of wyaduck, here; but he hasn't
posted for awhile, except to sell a poster on ebay. Hopefully he will
come here, read this, and enlighten us as to the rumor.

Thanks for the recommendation of the Abbey book; I will pick it up
some day.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
