Talia's hair is gorgeous with all those curls. Of course, I'm

Kind of an occupational hazard with Sprogs that they grow so tall
between blinks. I'm sure it was only last week that I was bringing my
tiny Athena-baby home after her marathon hospital stay, but her head
is now up to my chin, while her sister (who was only a baby yesterday)
is taller than my shoulder.
Ok, so at 161 cm or 5'3" my shoulders and chin are rather closer to
the ground than yours, Tris, but still...it shouldn't be allowed.
Certainly not this quickly...
The Imp and Urchin are looking mighty cute!

Nope, perfectly appropriate. We were watching Talia over
breakfast this morning and looking at her with non-parent eyes
and saying, "Wow. She has really grown up..."
And Charis? When she dresses in clothes that aren't exactly
"childish" (like a nice pair of flared jeans and a pretty blouse)
I'd SWEAR she was a miniture 13 year old...

Talia's curls are NATURAL. I can't get over them, really. She
is ADORABLE in those curls. They are bear to comb out, though
and take a LOT of care to keep her hair from drying out too much.
As for Charis' hair? Certainly her crowning glory. She LOVES
her long hair because Mommy can do all sorts of cool things with
it.
And when she has it back in a bun and she's in her dance togs...
I'm telling you, she looks like the prima ballerina...

And believe me, they know it.
The other challenge, you'll note, is that Charis is reading...
those pictures of her and her buddy Jude? She's NOT just
pointing out the pictures. She's reading him the story.
She reads everything she can get her hands on.
Heck, I'm alternating reading Narnia and The Hobbit to her for
her bedtime stories...And she can follow along somewhat AND
comprehend...
Top that off with the simple arithmetic she's doing every day,
that she can write about half the letters of the alphabet, that
she can count to 100 unaided.... And there are still 10 months
until she starts Kindergarten and we're not holding back on
teaching her more...
We're SERIOUSLY considering the Montessori academy nearby.... the
only drawback would be financial right now...
